High-Efficiency Planetary Ball Mill for Lab Research & Nano-Grinding

The Planetary Ball Mill is a versatile and essential piece of laboratory equipment designed for high-energy mixing, ultra-fine grinding, and sample preparation. It is the industry standard for dispersing nano-materials, developing new products, and small-batch production of high-tech materials.

Description

This machine is engineered for high efficiency and low-noise operation, making it ideal for scientific research institutions, universities, and corporate laboratories. With the capability to process four samples simultaneously, it significantly accelerates the micro-particle research process.

Key Features

  • Precision Control: Fully programmable frequency conversion allows for stepless speed regulation.

  • Dual-Directional Milling: Set automated forward and reverse rotation cycles to prevent material agglomeration.

  • Vacuum Compatible: Can be equipped with vacuum-sealed jars for grinding materials that are sensitive to oxidation or require an air-insulated environment.

  • Versatile Applications: Widely used in metallurgy, geology, electronics, ceramics, pharmaceuticals, and environmental protection.

Technical Working Principle

The machine utilizes a 1:2 speed ratio between the revolution of the main turntable and the rotation of the individual grinding jars. As the turntable moves, the jars rotate on their own axes in the opposite direction. This “planetary” motion generates high-intensity centrifugal forces, causing the grinding balls to impact and shear the sample material with extreme energy.

  • Min. Discharge Particle Size: Down to $0.1\mu m$.

  • Milling Methods: Suitable for both dry and wet grinding.

Technical Parameters:

  • Power Supply: 220V (Standard) / 380V (Industrial Models).

  • Feed Size: Soil materials $\le 10mm$, other materials $\le 3mm$.

  • Drive Mode: Reliable gear drive for consistent torque.

  • Operating Time: Supports continuous operation up to 72 hours.

Customization: Jars and Grinding Media

To ensure zero contamination and optimal results, we offer a wide range of materials for jars and balls. The choice of material should be harder than the sample being ground and chemically inert to avoid altering the sample composition.

Grinding Jar Options:

  • Metallic: Stainless Steel, Tungsten Carbide, Chrome Steel.

  • Ceramic: Alumina (Corundum), Zirconia, Agate.

  • Polymer: Nylon, Polyurethane (PU), PTFE (Teflon).

Grinding Ball Sizes:

  • Available diameters: $\Phi 5, \Phi 8, \Phi 10, \Phi 15, \Phi 20$ (mm).
